interference/buzzing with Factory Alpine head unit | |
Finally finished installing a factory bluetooth setup (Alpine CDE-133BT with factory microphone, Alpine-ISO specific harness) and have some weird interference/noise/buzzing coming through.
It only happens when using bluetooth audio (in the background under the music and keeps going when you pause the music - it is repetitive - a buzz with a pulse and sounds electronic.) or when aux-input is selected (though its a different noise, in this case like a woodpecker on 10x speed). There is no interference when using the radio.
I didn't get this with the old Pioneer head unit (though, granted I only ever used it for the radio).
The only things that have changed since then are: 1) fitted the head unit, 2) fitted the factory microphone 3) fitted a loom that correctly connected the head unit to the cars brown/grey ISO plugs: here it is on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cable-Adapter-Rad...amp;sr=8-1 and 4) I have fitted a simple loom made by LR-Connectors that connects the rear speakers into the iso plugs (runs from the empty plug near the clutch into the unused posts in the brown iso plug)
I have tried disconnect and reconnect all the plugs, I have tried disconnecting the aerial and the microphone - with no joy.
There are no LED lamps on the vehicle and there was nothing charging at the time - it still has the factory cigarette socket. The only other thing of note is that there is a Tracker on the car.
Any ideas at all? My next step is to take it to a radio specialist if I can't fix it.
