Exmoor Trim do two types of second row seats for your type of Defender. They are called 'Classic Low Back' and 'Classic high Back'. So you could have 2 high backs on the outside and a low back in the middle. Substantially cheaper than their premium high back range which is designed for the later Td5 Defender with the 60:40 split second row seat. They will make them to order and there are dozens of fabric choices - including denim twill. They also meet all the relevant safety criteria should the worst happen.
Yes, they are pricey but they are extremely well made and will fit straight onto the existing seat frames. I have set of their premium high backs in my 110, very expensive (£1800) but far safer for the kids now they are out of their booster seats. They now sit in greater comfort than the adults do up front (except we get air con and they don't! lol) https://www.exmoortrim.co.uk/seating/defen...-back.html https://www.exmoortrim.co.uk/seating/defen...-back.html |

@4rf Rds - Front seats in the rear was an option, but there are times when I have all 3 seats occupied.
@Penfold_6290 - the seats at £1800 are out. Just too expensive for my pocket. How ever the highback seats look good and look a lot like the Trakker seats I have except for the trim. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

The classic high backs aren't £1800, that was the price for the premium ones, I reckon the denim twill classic seats for your Defender will cost £520 including VAT.

Cheers. Denim Twill are available
Just need to re-assemble the Trakker seats and look to move them on to fund the new seats. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

I used the frame from the rear bench and just bolted it to that. As removable as the bench was 2010 Range Rover MkIII Autobiography Super Charged (Idris)

I note that for the 60/40 split seats there are no other options than the premium high back 2nd row seats from exmoor trim. - while nice, they do cost around 2k pound ..
or are there any alternatives available that do not break the bank that much? Td5 110 Station |

Renault Scenic Seats have been mentioned a few times here.
Living in France I was going to have a look at that (easy enough to get). https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=ht...AdAAAAABA4 |

That's a good idea - if you've got them handy. Mine already had 3 leather Exmoor high backs, from which I've removed the centre seat to install a storage drawer - hidden storage options are in short supply in a DCPU: Click image to enlarge |

Sorry to jump in and resurrect this thread, but exactly what I am looking at currently.
I want to upgrade just the second row near side passenger seat of my Td5. It’s the 40 part of the 60-40 bench seat. The 60 part is coming out for a trip to put in a fridge, hopefully. Exmoor trim say that the high back classics do not fit the frame, but does anyone know if a high back seat nonetheless fits on just the 40 split part. Looked at premium high back but £770 for one Left hand and seat base between side bolsters look narrow. Thanks for any further suggestions. Rob |
