I’d be thinking a realistic sale would be £25k but you could try and push your luck for £30k to start with if she’s mint.
Also you could try calling twisted as they like to snap up low mileage td5’s, then change a few bits a list them for £125k |

My local dealer has almost exactly the same model
for sale, a 2004 90 XS SW in black with 38,000 miles and in mint condition as to be expected with that mileage They are asking £25,995 They've also got a 2005 90 XS SW again mint one lady owner but with 78,000 miles at £25,000 Typically a dealer will get a couple thousand more due to the warranty but if yours is mint (crossmember not rusty, no rusty bolts or scabs on the bodywork) you could try it at £25,000. Very low mileage ones like yours should make that kind of money in the current market. There's always the silly prices (l've seen a 10,000 mile 110 at £79,000) but dealers will always have a go in case some clown who has just won the lottery buys it. |

Apologies - been out of range for a few days.
Thanks both for your replies. She’s not mint but is in excellent condition so I think £25k would be a fair price. There is a little interest on here so I must get on with cleaning it and taking some pics. Loathe to get rid of her though to be honest. Ultra reliable and looks great. 90 XS Td5 Bonatti Grey 90 XS Puma Stornoway Grey (sold) 90 XS Td5 Java Black (sold) 90 XS Td5 Oslo Blue (sold) |

My local LR specialist dealer has a 36,000 mile TD5 XS SW in black at around £25,000
Being from a dealer you'll get a warranty which is worth its weight in gold on an 18 year old Defender. l've had a look at it, and it's very nice, there's no corrosion at all on the bodywork and the interior is pristine as you'd expect at that mileage. |

Sorry all. I’ve been crazy busy and haven’t had time to think about it. Now I’ve got weddings to go to and all sorts. Perhaps I shouldn’t have set this hare running. Will try to get something up after Easter but would understand if people get fed up waiting.
The black one sounds a good buy though! 90 XS Td5 Bonatti Grey 90 XS Puma Stornoway Grey (sold) 90 XS Td5 Java Black (sold) 90 XS Td5 Oslo Blue (sold) |

Thread resurrection alert...
After posting this last year I changed my mind and consequently didn't go back to my post, or check my inbox (sorry Will) until today. Anyway 18 months later I think the time is right to move her on. She's now at 43,000 miles, recently had a major service and passed its MOT with flying colours. The battery is weak (it must be 10 years old) so I'm going to get a new one, plus I am going to replace the two front mudflaps as the drivers side one is corroded. As soon as these are done I will put it up in the S&W section with some pics. Just a heads up. 90 XS Td5 Bonatti Grey 90 XS Puma Stornoway Grey (sold) 90 XS Td5 Java Black (sold) 90 XS Td5 Oslo Blue (sold) |
