Did you not get their (Winchmax) wire kit for Defender?

Or have a read of this thread and decide how to protect your winch. |

The Winchmax comes with a fuse as standard. You can then choose to use it or not.

If is the Winchmax bumper then it is a direct copy of the original LR (Mantec) bumper. That is what they informed me.

It does feel a very heavy duty winch bumper , just fitted the new longer live terminal but was a bit of a pain getting it on the solenoid terminal and lining up the grommets again when closing the casing , and I’m glad I’ve got my own ramp

Bit late now but did you measure the distance between your bump stops and front axle.
if it feels a bit bouncy at the front or crashy over speed humps it will be worth changing the front springs. Otherwise it looks supercool. Don't forget to tension the rope before use. ![]() |

Hasn’t made any noticeable difference, being a utility 110 is very firm over speed bumps .
All wired up now and working fine , and as you say just got to tension up the rope as soon as I get chance ![]() ![]() Click image to enlarge |
