A company that makes lorry sidings or trailer covers will be able to make you a tonneau that will snugly fit over your roof rack. You will have to make sure that it has multiple straps going over the top of it to prevent it billowing or flapping when driving.

Yep, that’s the sort of thing. Masai 4x4 do something even better, but I’ve contacted them and they are out of stock and say they doubt they’ll be getting more.
I’m almost tempted to custom make my own out of PVC coated fabric. Christ knows what it will come out like. Sewing is not one of my fortes. |

Good plan. The sewing is not difficult, don't eyeball it, sketch out the stick lines first and you'll be OK. When it comes to the tie downs look at brass press fit eyelets. A boat chandler should have a kit to do the job. Fit more eyelets then you think you need . Better to have too many tie down positions than too few.
