Whilst I can understand Defendit's reasoning for fitting a larger intercooler for climatic purposes a word of caution. Certain remaps have been configured for optimum performance with a standard intercooler and replacing could theoretically make your remap for which you would have undoubtedly shelled out quite a lot for lose effectiveness....

Read this thread, and contact your remap provider first....

Whilst the standard intercooler may seem inferior in appearance I don't recall them being a regular failure issue as of yet???? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

Obviously, the vehicle will need a modified map once something (like the intercooler) has changed. The beauty of keeping with the same tuner (for software map and hardware) is that when the custom map is re-written, they are able to make the best of the hardware/software set-up.

I'm sure Gary would agree he has to be careful when mapping around non-Alive hardware. Wink

I have had a BAS remap, AlliSport intercooler and a decat pipe for about 6 months.

The difference is unbelievable, soooo much more power right across the rev range, better fuel figures and if the you tow any thing the difference is multiplied.

Hi

My BAS remap innterface as most already know is priced at only £519 all in with free UK mainland shipping as a new BAS remap interface on the forum offer.

However I do have 1 and 1 only EX Demo unit that I used at the shows this year to show people so save me getting a new one out of a box every someone wanted to see/feel one etc. this will do the exact same job as a brand new one and I can let this go for only £460 all in with the same free UK mainland delivery.

Pete
