Not heard a single negative comment about them.
It’s on my (very) long wish list 👍 |

It is a low down the list mod but the shorter throw gear stick is nice

I never drove one with a slickshift. I have been thinking about it, but there are always more important things.
And: - The td5 (LT85) gearshift isn't that bad. I build a V8 with a LT95 in my first 90. From 3rd to 4th was really from the dash to the middle seat. - If you drive off-road it is nice that you can feel in what gear it is. Roel 1984 90 2.5 na Diesel - RR V8 (1994-2001) 1997 Camel Trophy Discovery 300TDI (2001-2009) 2005 G4 Discovery III 4.4 V8 (2008-2018) It's gone but it still hurts. 2003 90 Td5 (2009-now) |

I had one fitted on the old R380 for years, the lever kept fouling the air con unit, shifting was good though. When I fitted a new R380 I couldn't get it to shift nicely for love nor money, notchy, baulky, very frustrating. Before calling the nice people at Ashcrofts and complaining I took the Slickshift off and the shifting was perfect...someone got lucky on Ebay buying my old Slickshift for £40.
