Please can someone tell me what the two flat rectangular metal pieces are for (about 2 x 1 inches and with 2 holes in them). Are they spacers? The holes are much bigger/longer than on the main damper assembly and barely line up. Do I need them?
Everything was going smoothly (all ready to drill the rivet holes) until I found there were no instructions ![]() I cant see them on the Nak. website photo ![]() I really want to get this fitted today (not raining). Any help (but not the sarcastic kind) will be met with God-like worship ![]() Cheers, Matt Tell someone you love them today because life is short. Sort of but the cladding is reassembled now and the grab handle back on - I don't think the pics would be very interesting (just the end of the damper)... I can say it was very easy (once I figured out exactly what to put where) and will happily give very detailed information to answer any questions ![]() I can also say that even with the spare wheel cover and light guards, the rear door now opens about 89 degrees and stays there, so I shouldn't decapitate the dog again (we live on a slope) ![]() Matt Tell someone you love them today because life is short. Yes, thats a good pint, whos struts do Nak actually use?
I used an Arvin Meritor (Camloc) one on mine as theyre only a few quid and we had a pile laying about at work. But the advantage of these is that you can inflate/deflate them to set the pressure or regas them. The amount Nak charge for one of these I would expect them to have the same facility. Pete |

You can deflate them (although I find it just right) but the valve is so tiny (and I don't have the right pump/adapter) that you have to send them back to Nak. if you go too far. Anyone had an "original" Nak. strut (finally know the right name) fail on them? Cheers Matt Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
