So today I picked up the Defender 110 SE
A few things I observes that are different from the order I places in July 2022 that where not mentioned and did change
- no sunglass storage/compartment in the ceiling
- no soft close for the back door anymore
- back seats are missing the click and go
- only 2 charging ports in the mittle for back passangers (only usb-c once)
- only the hybrid instrument panel
- only a manual steering wheel column adjustment
Thats it after about 20mls of drive.
Other than thatvthe car is amazing.
The inline 6 diesel is so amazing to drive and the ride is just really comfortable. 110 D250 SE Tasman Blue, white roof, black pack, advanced towing pack, rear diff locker, driver assist

When my order changed to 23MY I was informed that the click and go would be missing, The steering column is now manual not electric, only hybrid instrument panel was available. Didn't mention no soft close. I don't see why though as it's not chip intensive? 110 D250 SE HT

I’ll check with my dealer on monday regarding the sunglass holder and the soft close. Both not a big thing but nice to have 110 D250 SE Tasman Blue, white roof, black pack, advanced towing pack, rear diff locker, driver assist

Phone call from dealer today and to my great surprise, not another delay but my 110 has been built ahead of schedule...

Ordered beginning of July last year, originally scheduled for September delivery, then December, then re-ordered as new MY and slipped to February, then April but now built last week and at the dealers in a week or so.

He's said I'll be in it by the end of the month... Hope its not an April fools joke Wink MY22 110 D250 SE > MY23 110 D250 XS Edition > MY24 110 D300 HSE X-Dynamic

Hang in there Chris, the whole process is incredibly frustrating, not just the wait and the uncertainty, but ending up with a car that doesn’t have all the bits on it you ordered and paid for Sad But everyone who’s received their Defender seems very enthusiastic about it Smile so lets hope the wait is worth it. MY22 110 D250 SE > MY23 110 D250 XS Edition > MY24 110 D300 HSE X-Dynamic

I’m in a similar position Chris with a V8 Carpathian 110 on order sine July 21 . I was told December , but then March and now June , at least it shows we are being treated the same and Land Rover consistent with their promises .Hopefully it won’t shift again !! 🙈

I'm missing out on the broken promises. Big Cry

I was told Sept / Oct 2021 and then in August offered Sept / Oct 2021 if I accepted the analogue dash. Which at the time, when they were knocking out D200s, ordered afterwards, with IDD was a bit of a .... take.

That's it.... nowt. Contingency planning kicked in at the end of Oct Thumbs Up

I originally ordered early October 21 as 22MY 90 D250 X-Dynamic SE with Black Roof, Panoramic Sunroof, Matrix LEDs and Clearsight Rear View Mirror options and told to expect a 6 - 9 month wait. Then reordered as 23MY in earlyNovember 21 but was told it wouldn't come with the Interactive Driver Display, Matrix LEDs or Clearsight and some other stuff with no reciprocal price reduction so after waiting for JLR to update their web site in early December I upgraded to X-Dynamic HSE, and deleted the Clearsight (which I was told would hold back the build) and told to expect a 9-12 month wait.
A couple of weeks ago I was told that it would be going into build in April and would be at the dealers for delivery around the 25th of May.
Yesterday I was told my Defender had been built and would be at the dealer's in early April so that's fantastic news if it all goes well.

What was the cost difference between the original SE and HSE built?

The difference was about £1500 over the SE with the extra options which were standard on the HSE (Panoramic Roof, Black Roof Etc..)
