Check the coolant level. This is a very common symptom of the coolant level having dropped slightly.

Doesn't sound normal at all The efficiency of the heater on the Puma models is one of its best features and provides a steady stream of toasty hot air.. Darren

It blows out volumes of very warm air until the outside temperature drops to zero and below, then it fluctuates when driving with high interior fan assistance. it’s been the same since I’ve owned it, and to be honest I have always thought it normal. Ride like you stole it!!

Not sure about puma but tdi’s and td5 all cool down below normal running temp at tickover especially if heater is blowing as well. Diesels do run more thermally lower than a petrol especially at tickover not uncommon in a lot of modern cars that have dual heater matrices the temp in engine can reduce significantly if both are run at full chat. Hence the need for rad muffs

My 08 110 does similar with engine temp, doesn't seem to heat up much during tickover but as soon as it's on the road it warms up quickly, if I leave it running once I'm back the engine temp drops off slowly. |
