OP back again
Well sorry to report it cut out again yesterday - this time pulling out of the drive ! Same as before - lost power and eventually stalled. Started up again just fine Scanned for DTC codes - none triggered. All systems reported working So where to start ? Considering the VCV is a year old - and it’s on its original MAF and MAP - which of these makes sense to swop out first ? The forscan code reader has ability to take live MAF and MAP data - but I am not sure what I should be looking for ? Any advice and counsel welcome - TIA |

This does sound very typical of a faulty VCV.

I had similar issue. No power on accelerator, then loosing power and eventually cutting out almost always after traveling at a constant speed for a bit. It eventually got more and more frequent, eventually happening almost as soon as you left the driveway, so i had no trust in it.
Changed VCV and problem fixed, been fine ever since, but, always a but, its now very "lumpy" on cold, once engine to temp, all good and smooth. I had already done all the normal stuff (MAF, MAP, EGR etc) |
