If you’re going to genuine wolfs, a 255/85r16 is probably your best option but I think bfg only offer that size in mud terrain not all terrain. 33” tyre so slightly taller than standard but not too wide for the wolf rims 👍
Given the 6.5” width of the wolf you’re slightly limited when it comes to going for bigger tyres without pinching the tyre on the rim |

Thx for this. I’m frustrated because I love BFGR but I really wanted a AT since I drive pavement too. I appreciate the info, at least I’ve got a good idea of size now. Thx! |

The BFG KMs aren't winter 'snowflake' rated. That may or may not be a problem in Sweden? The KO2s are winter rated.

With a 2-3in lift I'd go 255x85R16, so I believe limited to KM3'S or Toyos, both mud terrains. I've only experience on Toyo's on low mileage but they're surprisingly good on tarmac. James

KM3s are good on the road as well, and the only situation where any MT will be exciting is in snow on tarmac or snow on ice when they are really not great. I imagine this could be an issue in Sweden (I thought that studded tyres were mandatory at certain times of the year in Sweden, and there are no studdable MTs as far as I know).
The suspension lift should allow the fitment of tyre chains to 255/85s though, something that isn't sensible with standard suspension and that tyre size. |

If there is a requirement for studs in the winter how about Cooper STT Max. Not quite a mud but more aggressive than an all out AT and pretty quiet and well behaved on the tarmac stuff. I've driven them a bit in snow and they seemed alright. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.

I was just looking at the Cooper. I don’t know anything about them so I’ll do some reading!

I’ve been running Cooper st maxx for about 6 years and can’t really fault them.
These are 285/75 16 so won’t fit on your rims , but they obviously do other sizes. Click image to enlarge 2002 td5 90 county hardtop |

I've Cooper STT Maxx 235x85R16 for a couple years but only low mileage, but no issues with them.

So, went with the Cooper’s STT Max 255/85 on the wolf wheels. Fuji White to match the roof. Epoxy painted, and powdercoated clear for extra durability. She came out pretty smart if you ask me! Thanks for all of the help.

Look fantastic! Are they really 255/85 STT? We can't get that size in the UK. James

Yes sir, 255 were a special order but I am very happy with how they fit and look! Hoe they perform to be determined but tyres like anything can be debated for centuries and finally i just said I will give them a go. |
