Nice!
That exhaust tailpipe looks mighty narrow for the engine you have in it. JB @Lodelaner Instagram Youtube greenlaning and other LR related content |

Thanks Lodelaner, it is a standard early V8 tailpipe, but agree, pretty small.
It did have a larger bore straight through pipe, which sort of sounded good but the novelty wore off pretty quickly, especially as it is often around horses! It is now standard early 90 end to end so would be for a 3.5 on carbs, not a tweaked 3.9 efi! But it has smoothed the power out nicely, much more driveable. |

Totally agree - I'm not a fan of noisy exhausts at all.
I've got the Td5/TDCi centre and tailpipes, makes a nice woofle with no drone. JB @Lodelaner Instagram Youtube greenlaning and other LR related content |

Doing a bit more chain harrowing saturday, mostly raising dust.
One small bit was very boggy so skirted around...so I thought....harrows sank and I stopped...slightly downhill too. In the end had to detach the harrows, get out with mucho 3.9 mud slinging, then use the towrope to recover the harrows, which took quite a tug. Once I detached them noticed how much mud I had slung! Occasionally do the same, using my V8 Lightweight to chain harrow if it is out and about and the tractor is away.
It is the hardest work going, as you are, effectively, towing hundreds of little anchors and it always strikes me how a 220Hp V8 can make it sound like a struggle whereas 24 HP of tractor makes easy work of it. Just shows what the right gearing can do!! Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly! |
