It depends a bit what Defender parts you're looking for. I usually have a look at Landreiziger or Nakatanenga. Maintenance parts I get from a main dealer or something like Autodoc if I'm not in a hurry.

Some of the uk suppliers now do all inclusive pricing so no extra tax, they look more expensive to others but the others you are at the will of customs. LRDirect is who I use at preset Searching for my first Defender...and started just as Covid hit, so talk about timing.
5 months after starting the search I found it, and here is the details |

One of the reasons I stopped ordering from UK unless I run out of options. Fed up waiting months for my order. Iβd rather order at an EU shop I know the part I need is in stock.

My local dealer takes longer to get things than it does from the UK sellers.
Recently I took intake manifold off nowhere could get me any genuine seals, Europe/UK eventually I got some erwin ones, not origional but a good brand. Suppliers in Spain could not even get them. One more vote for LR Direct, clear website, good communication over email, fast turnaround on orders and delivery time to Sweden is around 1 week consistently. 110 SE D200 MY21 Tasman blue

I order from Paddock, and they send packages as ddp (delivery duty paid). So you know exactly what you are paying at time of order.. which I think is great. A pleasure to deal with.
Local customs on the other hand are total opposite..... last shipment they tried to su ![]() 2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black |

but that was start of 2020 (the video) I have moved suppliers in the last 18 months a lot due to the attitude or shipping company they used, at one stage fedex to me was taking 4-5 weeks, but dhl was 4-5 days so I used ones that were using DHL, UPS was 2-3 weeks, the customs process now on UPS has improved and I get it now in about 1 week.
For me if they are using DHL and all charges paid I can now get items I order on a Monday arriving on the Thursday (a couple of times Wednesday) If it has to get payment from myself to customs it can delay it a day, but they have mostly improved a lot since Brexit hit. The ones I dont like is when they say vat has to be paid in UK then once you paid the vat in arriving country they refund the vat, the sums dont add up on that one, and I dont order from them, this hits the little man more than the large company as some maybe not vat registered, but technically there prices still include it as they pay it from the supplier they use, but that means for me they are too expensive when landed here, and I look for an alternative. Thanks for the replies, Iβll have a look at all the sites mentioned. The politics of Brexit aside it is a major PITA, shows we took a common market for granted and really miss it once itβs gone.

I'm with you on this one. Dealer or autodoc for most things, only very special one-of-a-kind items are worth ordering from the UK anymore. Roaming around π³π΄π¨π |
