Lower Front Grill and Rear Bumper in Black Style
Hello,

I am from Germany and I am currently driving a Mercedes G-Wagon.
I am considering switching to a 90 New Defender in the medium term because I don't need as much interior space in the future anymore.
I like the color combination of "Silicon Silver" and black. So I'm wondering if anyone else has come up with the idea of making the lower silver front grill and rear silver bumper black (foiling/wrapping or painting)? (see also image)

Has anyone here already considered this or even implemented it???? Especially how did you deal with the challenge of foiling/wrapping the many holes in the front to foil/wrap cleanly?
Do you have any info, tips or tricks?

Thanks a lot Thumbs Up

Best regards... Cool

I'm having mine painted gloss black with my LR dealership. $650 each end. Includes labor to remove and reinstall.

Seems to me most people are getting the silver painted black or colour coded. James

The topic has been resolved for me. I bought a 90 X-Dxnamic with Extended BlackPack. With that option, the front and rear bumpers are painted gloss black out of the factory. To finish first, you first have to finish!

It’s painted in the silver versions anyway, so your comment ref stone chips remains the same.

I like mine stock silver.

Re stone chips, maybe Raptor would be a solution. Current vehicle: 2020 Defender 110S
Gone: Defender 90 HT 200Tdi, Discovery Sport, Freelander 2

Mine isn’t painted…but it’s also wrapped Rolling with laughter

The wrapping company first comment was you’ll need the lower wrapped if it’s painted, until I said mine wasnt Mike

I agree. I like that it is plastic that might mark up but won’t look chipped. And I think the contrast actually looks better than matching…but each dog to his own India rubber bone, as they in these parts…
