Well its a fact it has Whether its made it to the cars because of how SOTA works, is different to it being made available I had my Disco updated in November, but only just got the defender updated - this is not the same as the update being available its about how its pushed and downloaded Mike |

Again, you seem keen to pick a fight.
Let's just say we have different views of "rolled out" and "available" [present or ready for immediate use]. JLR measure these campaigns as % complete, and I suspect that they are still measuring the take up today. |

We collected our new 110XS just over a week ago and the software installed at the factory seems to be at least 2 versions lower than the elusive 3.0 2014 110 2.2TDCi XS Station wagon

I'd be curious to know if you have any info on the manufacture date for your car, as you'd hope cars going down the full production line would be given the latest software?
I think I've also seen notes to dealers to suggest they should update any cars they have (via Pathfinder) prior to retailing them ~ I'll have a check tomorrow. |

Our car came of the line on the 17th December and arrived at the dealer on 10th January, shipping was delayed for 8 days due to the Christmas holidays.
Any feedback on the update would be much appreciated Supacat 2014 110 2.2TDCi XS Station wagon 1971 Bowler Tomcat 88 4.2 V8 Auto 2022 110 D250 XS Edition - Gone 2024 110 D250 X-Dynamic HSE |

Same here. Car came off the production line just before the Christmas shutdown. Arrived at the dealers mid January and with me last week. Software version not available as no updates but looks to be 2.1.6.
Why don't dealers update cars on the PDI? Defender D300 HSE 110 MY22 Pangea Green |

Not pick a fight, it's just boring to see the constant digs at jlr from an uniformed negative position as an arm chair monitor On this point they launched it initially, then opened it to all, now it's about how sota is rolled out. There are a number of variables that impact that, I know some but not all. Ethereal it's available to all cars not 500 and the system will kick it out to all cars as they have said You can get the dealer to install it but they won't mostly Mike |

This was the document & generic text I was referring to: UPDATE PRIOR TO SALE N645 UPS9521 -PIVI UPDATE "Retailers are required to HOLD affected new vehicles that are within your control and refrain from releasing the vehicles for new vehicle sale pending completion of the rework action." contained in this doc: https://www.defender2.net/gallery/albums/userpics/13810/03.pdf Additionally, these docs may also shed a little light/be applicable on your situation: Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge
Hopefully you can see from the last slide that the issue is very much still open with the active campaign to resolve this issue open until 28th February 2022. |

Thanks for the information Supacat, just off the phone with JLR CS. Spent a bit of troubleshooting from their end resetting incontrol and trying to communicate with the car.
They could tell me the vehicle hadn't been updated from the original factory installed software during PDI and to get things up and running properly the TCU needs to be flashed with new software by the dealer or worst case scenario is it might be faulty and need replaced. Going to bite the dealers ears as we asked three times if they had made sure the software was fully updated during the PDI and three times we were told yes, only when I dug up the dealer principal did he admit they send the cars out with the factory maps and software as the OTA updates will eventually arrive. 2014 110 2.2TDCi XS Station wagon 1971 Bowler Tomcat 88 4.2 V8 Auto 2022 110 D250 XS Edition - Gone 2024 110 D250 X-Dynamic HSE |
