I bought all the rear lights from Bolt on Bits. The worklights don't look as if they will be bright enough during the day compared to the old Land Rover worklights but they are very effective. I bought the other LED lights as i liked the black housing that these ones have. They supplied a replacement flasher relay to enable it to be used with a mix of led/non led lights and it all seems to work well, even worked with a trailer connected the other day.
I built the dash myself, essentially I bought a new fascia and cut it up. I also purchased a TD5 centre console switch holder and seperated all the switches. Then i bonded all the switches in the relevant places. The hazard lights switch caused me the biggest problem but it just fits in the current location. The electric windows and heated seats switches were relocated to the cubby box. After much solvent welding of plastic and sanding i primed and painted the fascia. Fitting the double din stereo in the dashboard requires modification to the clock housing, stereo mounting & the dash underneath the fascia. But it does fit just! I've probably made it sound quite a straight forward affair but as my son will testify it took a lot of time but i got the design right in the end. I will try and write a thread on it and upload some photos on how to do it, in the meantime feel free to pm me and i will try and help anyone else who wants to have a go. Once i have tidied up the shed I might even make up another one if anyones interested? I wanted to keep an OEM look to it with original switches but you could make it a lot easier if you used aftermarket switches. The end result is that it is possible to fit a double din stereo in the defender fascia, that meant i could have my sat nav and rear view camera with just one screen and without the worry that the dog would snap off a motorised display. Heres a couple of 'work in progress' photos. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

That double DIN dash is very impressive!
There was one I saw advertised a while back, but it relocated the demister/foglight\etc buttons to the 'angled' side of the centre console. Just didn't look right. Yours however looks bob on! If you need a tacho and don't want to lose your radio too, could come in handy...... |

Mate, I am considering a double-DIN unit myself. I would really appreciate a thread with pics on how you did yours -- 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ |

Really nice looking truck mate. I couldn't see anywhere above, but could you let me know where the heated mirror switch came from (assuming that's what it is!)? I assume it's a LR switch, but if you (or anyone else) has a part no, it'd be helpful!
