I’m assuming you have the 2.2 as that has coolant pipes to/ from the EGR cooler then to and from the EGR. Where as the 2.4 has them to / from the EGR cooler but not via the EGR.
If you are looking to blank and software delete the EGR then I would contemplate completely bypassing the cooler and the EGR if it’s a 2.2 and the cooler if it’s the 2.4. Also if a 2.2 with a DPF the DPF will need to be removed and software deleted. As for then using to feed a heat exchanger. Plumbing wise I see no problem, however what about achieving and maintaining correct engine coolant temperature , how would this work given the draw of the heat exchanger ? |

My understanding was that DPF removal resulted in an MOT fail?

Op is not in uk, but yes dpf or egr deletion or removal is an mot fail in uk. |

Hi Ianh the engine is in fact 2.4.
Regarding achieving and maintaining correct engine coolant temperature this shouldn't be a problem as if the water for the shower will not circulate into the heat exchanger during driving the heat should not dissipate too much from the cooling system so to have any relevant effect on regular engine operation. |
