With all due respect, it's down to you to know and respect the speed limits for your vehicle.
l've driven vans off and on for many years and it's not an excuse to "forget" that you are driving a Commercial Vehicle. Modern vans are like cars to drive, one example being the VW Transporter. |

^^ I agree with you completely, but with the new era of zombie motorists we're breeding you know what will happen - there will be an "adaptive speed control mis-selling scandal" followed by class actions and no-win-no-fee ads on TV from "Speedlimiterlawyers4U", with everyone blaming everyone but themselves for their speeding ticket.
It could become the new "dieselgate". Eventually more badly-written legislation will be introduced to make our lives miserable which will have unintended consequences which mainly impact the law-abiding non-zombie few. What do mean "cynic"? |

You are missing the point a VW transporter is not a car and doesn't look like a car or feel like a car when you drive it, I know I have 2 of them. I have also driven vans lots of them and still do in fact I have a fleet of about 10. My concern was, at the time I had two identical vehicles from a driving perspective. Both 110s, Both HSE, I didn't want to 'forget' I was in the commercial so I paid to have the option for ASL. However the ASL in the commercial is set to car speeds. When I questioned the fact that it didn't work and I told them I was clearly miss sold Land Rover basically said tough . 130's have feeling's as well you know |

Not a great response from Land Rover l agree. l've got a 90 Commercial on order, l hope it doesn't come with a nanny state speed restricter.
