Creaking/Cracking sound from Rear Door
From the initial silent wafting L663 experience my Defender has developed an annoying creaking/cracking sound that I've managed to trace to the rear door.

Noise sounds to be coming from the door catch area. Tried a squirt of WD40 and some spray grease around the rear door catch/striker and the plastic guide without any success.

Before I head off to the dealer, anyone else had this and know of a quick fix?

I think you might find it's the rubber trim at the top of the door?

I have it on all my doors but haven't found a solution.

Did you manage to get this diagnosed and repaired? Mine's doing the same now and I'm booked in at the dealers next week... Current: MY22 P400e SE

Same happens to mine, every few months i take it to the dealers to get them to
lubricate the door rubbers. Some people are swearing by Gummi Plfege as a solution,
you can apply it as soon as the creaks return.. not tried it myself though yet Whistle yet another pommie bar steward down under

Every few weeks I have to grease the rubber seals on all the doors and the sunroof.

The LR service uses this exact grease, so I use the same one: https://products.liqui-moly.com/silicone-g...ent-2.html MY2021 Defender 90 P400 SE

The sound suddenly disappeared so whether I cured it with the lube eventually doing its thing or it simply cured itself I don't know.

Took the car to the dealers yesterday. They adjusted the doors and lubed the door seals which has (for the moment at least) solved the issue. Current: MY22 P400e SE
