Water ingress causing major electrical problem

I have a friend with a 90HT who has just emailed me as follows:

"Yesterday battery went flat and electronics went crazy
The cause was water in the battery compartment (under drivers seat) and it was shorting out the electrics!

Three possible reasons
I had it washed by a bunch of enthusiast Romanians with their pressure washers
Or
I was shooting on Saturday and it did pour down
Or
When I had a new screen they made a poor job of fixing it
Possibly a combination

It seems to have leaked by the front screen pillars
The battery sits in a compartment and there are no drain holes, presumably to stop water getting in if you go through a flood.

Land Rover assistances say there is a fix that needs to be done"

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

oh yes, mine and my friends the same problem. 2" deep in my mates under the seats and .5" in mine

I have lots and videos of the problem. They sounded like a fish tank sloshing about. Haven`t seen mine for 4 weeks. 2015 90SW Heritage MY16, 2016 90SW XS MY16 (123rd b4 the last build) & RRS HSE MY15
