Looks promising. 3pms rated so should be ok in winter, reinforced sidewall and available in all the popular 16 inch sizes. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |

I had a very brief look for 235/85-16 and I was getting a price of £235 or over per tyre. That seems expensive- is there something special about these to demand such a price?

I notice the high price, but I suspect that’s just a glitch as they are brand new on the market. Given the pricing of other Nokian tyres I expect it’ll come down to a more normal level in short order. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Be interesting to see some reviews of these. I've been pretty happy with my cooper discoverers, but I don't think they're available any more, and these could be a good alternative to KO2s.

So which AT tyre is available in 255/85r16? I’ve been looking but can’t find anything.
I wonder how the Nokians stack up against Bfg ATs? They seem to be equally aggressive. I wonder if a 295/75 would be possible, any thoughts or experience? |

255/85/16 in an AT... not since the Cooper ST MAXX and Toyo M55.
Your choice in that size is limited to BFG and Toyo MTs. This is why folks end up with 285/75/16 BFG etc as they are the closest to the the 255/85/16. If one or other tyre companies were to release a good AT pattern in a 255/85/16 there would be queues around the block for them. But alas it is not to be |

Shame. Whilst I don’t want my tyres to look like some monster 30” beadlock things, I do want the shoulder to look a little more robust, more purposeful. Not hugely, but along the lines of my current KO2s or previous ST Maxx. These look a little too ‘street’ or SUV. Go well on the new Def then (oooh that’s going to get me in trouble…… ) Monsieur Le Grenadier
I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |
