Germany 2000 Defender 130 Td5 HCPU Scotia Grey
question about spring mount and connector
Dear all,

I removed the rear tub from my 130 td5 to weld a part from the chassis, I also want to remove rost and give it a new paint (Owatrol / Ovagrundol and a chassis paint with Owatrol).
Two questions, could be easy to answer for most of you:

What is that cable / connector for near the diesel filter? There was nothing connected. And how can I remove the diesel pipes from the filter (without destroying it:-) ?

Should the spring mount look like this? The metal plate with the four squares seems to be uneven mounted.

thx @dorsetsmith

So for removing the pipe I just have to press both pins at the same time, dont have that nice tool.

The water sensor is standard or optional on the td5? There is a filter from "Mahle" mounted, are there filters available with and without the sensor?
I found a kind of cap / valve at the bottom on the filter, seems to be its for draining the water...?

btw, if I remove the filter / the pipes , do I have to (how?) release the preassure from the diesel pipes? (could be also done by the cap / valve on the filter)

water sensor is standard on pre 2002 td5 (but no in put ecu only indicate on dash)

Pressure from the diesel pipes? only 0.5 Bar from pump and fuel retune engine
