Opened the engine bay to add washer fluid and… rust?!
Apologies in advance for being the complete engineering novice that I am but can a knowledgeable and informed soul tell me whether this is rust, and whether it should or should not be cause for concern for a car that is less than a month old and done circa. 1,500km?

Good Lord just thinking about it is giving me nightmares Rolling with laughter
