oil catch tank with syphon
hello

I would like to have opinions on the assembly of a siphon to make one oil catch tank. the siphon looks like this

Why not use an of the shelf oil catch can like the MANN HUMMEL Provent 200 as some on here do? (including me).
Any difference in what you are trying to achieve or am I missing something?
