I am looking at trading in my 2008 90 CSW in cairnes blue. It has covered just over 4000 miles since being registered last april. I have fitted a full set of genuine seat covers and mats, a genuine cubby box, Mantec genuine front steering and tank guards as well as a Mantec wheel carrier. I have also fitted a set of BFG mud terrains to the alloys.
Question is what would you expect to pay to get a vehicle like this? I paid £21700 (no vat in Guernsey) plus added all the extras. I get the feeling that the local dealer is taking the with his trade in value, I know they have to make a living but how much of one??? Any input welcome, many thanks. Hi EDD80INCH
If it helps I've just got rid of mine on a part ex it was a 90 XS SW in Stornoway Grey with tow kit, 4,500 miles. It was underwritten by a Land Rover dealer at £17,500 but I was given £18,500 after some haggling. I paid £22,500 for it and it was brand new March 2008. SL LR 90 XS GONE! Hurrah! |

I was offered £15000 on a trade in , and was not to impressed. I am sure I could advertise it for £17950 and it would sell. I think that this is what I will do.
Thanks all for the replies, I was sure I had my figures right but just need a second opinion. Thanks again Edd. 1999 90 TD5 County 1943 Ford GPW Jeep Last edited by Edd80Inch on 3rd Apr 2009 6:32pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Due to the current finncial climate Lad ver will not offer a good price for p/x as they are trying to improve their figures and SELL vehicles faster than they are buying. I have paid ordered
110 Double cab XS £19763,09 Tonga green (Metalic) £388,72 Front light guards £161,50 Rear light guards £163,81 Raised ait intake £288,85 Rear step (NAS) £310,00 Steering guard £339,88 Chequer plate (BLK) £300,11 Wing top plate (BLK) £183,43 Discount £1000 TOTAL £20899.38 I too also don't have to pay tax , and I will expect it to be worth what I am paying for it. I would hve done lots of the mods myself but for te little extra it is worth the warranty- especialy parts like the ligt guards and the chequer plate. Glyn |

is that the UK price with Vat?
if so i might be tempted as my discount on top makes that a great deal All parts carry a 12 month warranty anyway if they are fitted within a period of time then they have 3yrs warranty Mike |

I do belive it is UK price minus 13% as that is the discount I qualify for.

Glyn - that's one hell of a steering guard!
I reckon I paid £85 for mine. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

Advertise it in France
Euro rate makes it cheap abroad, motorbike dealers are running out of used bikes as the Dutch and French keep buying them up |
