Just got the first road tax reminder for mine! Your right, a year has flown. Mine still feels new too, it hasn’t really had a problem. Couple of software blips but nothing that a quick reboot didn’t fix, or anything to make me worry. 10k miles covered. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

out of interest lining the tank is all well and good resolve the leak but (and I appreciate this may not be something you need to worry about / not your remit) has any consideration been given to the structural integrity of the tank? can't tell too much from a photo like that but looking at the base to raise the above question. |

Mines a year old last week, those 2000miles have been hard lol. It’s nice on the long drives 1 500 mile round trip being it’s main test
I still think the d5 is a better cruiser and has a bigger boot but the defender feels far more invincible off road/traction wise and cool despite everyone having them Mike |

Who said we lined it? However we normally do The tanks are normally lined from new with cheap EPDM rubber liners that go brittle and shrink over time. The manufacturer provides a 12 month warranty. The EPDM will fail any time after about 5 years. We take the crap liner out and re-line with a Butyl rubber liner. What you can see on the outside is just moss. To answer your structural integrity question. Prior to any works being carried out we complete a full survey of the tank, we send our ROV into the tank to carry out the internal survey. The the tank wall thickness is measured using ultrasonic equipment. We can then determine if corrosion has occured or not and run calculations to confirm that the tank is structurally sound. If its all ok we proceed with the refurbishment and we put a 10 year warranty on the tank. If the calculations dont add up its a new tank. 130's have feeling's as well you know |

Likewise, 14 months and just shy of 25,000 KM’s on the clock (15k in old coinage), It is still a reasonably rare vehicle in Oz and many 4x4 owners stop for a chat Click image to enlarge yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |
