Looks great. Not dissimilar in colour scheme and appearance to what I have on order. Many months to wait for mine though!
Enjoy. |

Thanks for all your kind comments.
It’s been a long time coming, but grateful it’s finally here! Have to pinch myself at times! Cruising at a steady indicated 115kmph (70mph) gives 14km/l of fuel assumption, or around 39mpg. Better than I imagined! |

Let me know when you are done with it. I'll repatriate it back to the UK

Can you repatriate something that's never been here? Darren

Arghh the shame. I'll never dare log in again.
Am I right in thinking that UK cars do go to Solihull prior to dealer distribution? |

Hmm, not sure but don't think so I was under the impression that they go straight from the ferry to the dealership. Darren

ha! early days but might be a keeper... the kids love it and the Mrs can't stop complementing the ride and lofty view. According to Vista 2 it finished production on the 12th Aug, left port on 18th Sep, arrived in Japan on the 12th Nov. There isn't any data which port, but I'm assuming it's Slovakia, and it did not make a trip to England. |

The vista schedule should have the ships name, you may be able to trace the route it took via
one of the marine tracker websites. I know ours left Rotterdam, a few days in Southampton and then the long route round to Oz via the US and the Panama yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |

Mine was the Morning Carina. Had a look at a few marine vessel tracking sites but need to pay to unlock historical data.

Quick update after almost 9 months and close to 10,000 KM of roving here in Japan.
Q: Has anything whistled, vibrated, broken, fallen off? Only one thing: a touch sensitive module in the overhead console that is missing which activates all interior lights (I've written in another thread). This is on back order, God knows when it will arrive. Apart from that, to the surprise of many, everything else is good. Q: What accessories did I install that made a difference: Overhead boot LED lighting from Defender3D Upgraded Door LED lighting from Powerful UK (must with young kids getting in and out in the dark) Generally the lighting is poor in the Defender, including the main beam. I have the Premium LED (not Matrix) and they aren't up to scratch. I've installed a lot of other 'stuff' which is generally cosmetic in nature... Q: How's the fuel consumption? I did an update ~6 months ago on another thread, and have seen this question pop up recently. For a 2.6 ton behemoth it's better than expected. NB: MPG is imperial, and data is from the export function in the Remote app If you're doing short distances (<10km or 6 miles) in stop start urban/town traffic with aircon, you will struggle to achieve anything above 9km/l or 25 MPG. Summer in Japan is atrocious and I noticed a big dip in fuel econony the last few months. No aircon, free flowing town traffic you'll get 11km/l or 31mpg (I did that this morning) On motorways you can get up to 14km/l or 40mpg. YMMV depending on how heavy your foot is. My foot isn't that light. First graph is total fuel consumption from the beginning. Bottom graph are the last 30 trips I have done.
