Hi Tim,

It may not show that option on your app as it may not be legal in your country, I know somebody mentioned the other day that is was illegal to remote start a vehicle in their country

The Remote Start works, I just can't set a temperature. Also, my Defender is a P400e PHEV, so it can use electrical power rather than fuel to warm the cabin, so I don't see why this should be disabled due to legislation. Just use the new app. The Defender PHEV was not even released when the old app was updated last time. ![]() |

Thanks for everyones advice
I have downloaded the latest App and it works fine, I now have the functionality to set the target temperature and remote start preconditioning of the cabin...however.... it only works for the petrol engine and only if the charging cable is disconnected! Having done some fault finding and investigation through the Customer Experience team the problem is with the Telematic Control Unit. They can see what the issue is. The TCU needs to be replaced, but now struggling to get a slot at a dealer within a reasonable time period.

Just as mine as I thought, I had to go into the deals twice for them to find out why and a 30 mile trip by them in my car, I’m still annoyed about Mike |
