Dowks I think I saw you on the A3 on Sunday going up the hill from Guildford!
Would love to know what the level of ride improvement was and how you feel the cost justified the same? |

Probably never seen a 130 in Keswick locally other than mine
I am very happy with it, ride is great and the flexibility it gives me under height restrictions on site, plus ability to have the car stay level when parked are more than worth it. I wouldn’t have done it for the ride alone. If anyone wants to try it, happy to demo it |

I've been looking at this as an option for my 110 TD5
One of the videos I saw of a truck post-install had the compressor running and it sounded quite loud. How frequently does the compressor run and how noisy is it? Just thinking about pulling into a campsite late in the day and getting out of the truck then the compressor kicks off and wakes up all the (not very) happy campers?! I wondered if this could be adapted to quieten it own: https://evaresto.co.uk/products/airlift-co...lencer-kit |

On mine you notice it when it is on, but it’s not noisy. Certainly wouldn’t wake up a sleeping camper anymore than the engine would. It tends to fire up for maybe ten seconds or so and then off, depending on if it is dropped. It tends to run more when going to extended mode when levelling off the vehicle.
To the kit you linked, my install has the compressor isolated like that as standard. It’s certainly a lot quieter than the compressor I use to do the tyres |

Many thanks for the info. So if the truck stays at normal ride height and you drove it for a week would you expect the compressor to kick in, or is it only when it is raising the height?
Did you get the TUV and VCA approvals for your insurance that were mentioned for the VC install? |

No idea as mine is set to drop when ignition off so goes back to road height each time.
Insurance just advised of change, no request for certificates and premium unchanged |
