Order cancelled by Land Rover

I’ve just had a call from inchcape to say the d240 90xs I ordered in late July has been cancelled as the diesel is not being produced any longer. I need to pick anther spec or engine.
Gutted but also suspicious that I’m not being told the whole truth.

90 not available in D240, do you mean 250 or 200? I know the 200s aren’t being produced but as far as I’m aware the 250 and 300 are. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

So sorry to hear that. Must be really disappointed. Hope you find an alternative and, once you have the vehicle, you’ll forget all about the frustration of the wait…trust me.

If you look at the configurator the D250 is no longer available in a 90 XS version. You can only get it as a P400 110 XS 250 MY 23 Gondwana Stone, Cold climate pack and towbar

Yes was a d250. Sorry.
Will be going into inchcape soon to sort this out. Might end up as 110 as lead times are shorter

Having slept on this and played with the configurator it is becoming apparent that the xs was going to be a great deal. So LR have cut it from the line up as it won’t make enough profit. I had a feeling something was going to go wrong as prices of used defenders are so high. Why would LR sell me one for less.
If this wasn’t the case an offer of a different power plant would have saved upsetting customers who had ordered. The fact that the vehicles are so “specable” suggests this could be done.

The D250 XS 110 is still available, at least at the moment 110 XS 250 MY 23 Gondwana Stone, Cold climate pack and towbar

No, spoke to the dealer last week and the build is still unslotted, she said she would speak to me in the New Year unless there any any more updates. I ordered it in July. As I said earlier the d250 Xs 110 is still available on the configurator. 110 XS 250 MY 23 Gondwana Stone, Cold climate pack and towbar
