Yes tried it, extraordinarily difficult for a number of reasons and unlikely to be successful. I did consider making a jig to bore the pin out at the correct angle but in the end decided it simply wasn't worth the effort. |

Not worth the effort when living in the UK...probably, but rest of the world (especially more true post brexit and covid) when you factor shipping costs, customs, customs clearance charges...) then becomes worth the effort, unfortunately for us ðŸ˜
Case in point, member here, Co1 wanted to give away an AC grille. Co1 is such a gentleman, that he even posted it to a hub in the UK, he bearing the costs. Then was my responsibility to get it from the UK: €15 shipping charge UK to Malta (fair enough) Local customs refused €0 invoice, because there are no good people any more. So I had to give a value.. so paid €5 customs. Shipping company does not process paperwork for free, so another €18 customs processing charges. Shipping and additional charges unfortunately add up very quickly. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing 2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black |
