Hi,
New here to your boards. I'm in the US and I have a 97 Soft Top. I mostly frequent a US board here: http://www.d-90.com/forum/index.php? In any case, I'm hoping someone here may be able to answer this simple question for me. I bought a pair of the Rubber end caps for my bumper. These weren't something offered on the NAS models so the bumpers here don't have holes drilled in the ends for the installation. In the package, I received the two end caps and 8 "christmas tree" fasteners. Do I just mark the holes on the top and bottom of the caps on the bumper and drill in? Is there something else I need to do? What size drill bit should I use? I presume it has to be a bit smaller than the twines of the fasteners so that they hold when inserted. Maybe someone has the LR installation instructions they can send to me? Here are some pics of my rovers. I currently have a Soft G4 style A-bar on the Defender. http://s42.photobucket.com/albums/e330/specops1526/Defender/ Thanks for any help! Brian 04 Disco G4 04 Disco SE 97 D90 NAS |

Hi specops1526 and welcome to the forum
Regarding your question, I just change my bumper and put in the new one the rubber cups. Yes, you just need to drill 4 holes per side: 2 in the top and 2 in the bottom side of the each end of the bumper. Lets me check in the house the diameter of the holes (I dont recall the size). I use the same caps to locate were I should drill. Cheers Eduardo Eduardo MY 2007 110 SW PUMA 2.4: Big Fog of 64' MY 1994 Jayco 1207 Folding camper: "El Tremendo" Click image to enlarge |

So I guess I got lucky...I finally unpacked the new bumper I bought and to my surprise it's already got the holes for the end caps! I guess no drilling for me! Can't wait to get it onto the truck, just hoping I won't run into any issues...for some reason that's never the case. 04 Disco G4
