It’s eye watering, they ain’t that much cheaper than the 110 steps either. But getting in is now easier and I can reach the roof to give it a wash. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Washing? What is this washing you speak of? Shocked Shocked

Laughing

Skippy was washed before we collected her 11 months ago, and will get washed at the first service in January. Hopefully! Whistle Whistle

The white roof gets grubby after a while.

Now it’s getting used to the steps when getting out Laughing

I will have had my 90 6 months this month, here are my thoughts so far.

Externally I’m really pleased with the look, Tasman Blue/Fuji White colour combo and steel wheels just look right. Gets a fair bit of attention, especially the wheels, love them or loathe them it’s one thing people comment on most.

The interior I love, just being able to wipe it down after wearing muddy shoes is great though built quality and the materials used in some areas are questionable, the rear has a lot of plastic which does create the odd creak but nothing I can’t live with. A couple of areas where there’s been penny pinching, passenger door has a grab handle but none on the drivers door, only one auto dimming door mirror, come on LR. Access to the rear seats isn’t great but once back there it’s surprisingly spacious and pretty comfortable, the large glass windows and alpine lights do make very airy. Boot space is poor, perhaps a bit over generous with rear passenger legroom but I knew that before buying it so can’t really hold it against it.

Pivi Pro, although looks good and a lot slicker over Incontrol Touch Pro it’s still buggy. The software in general is something LR just can’t seem to master.

D200 3.0 engine is fab, plenty power, in the 90 at least. Very quiet and silky smooth. I opted to stick with the coil suspension, whilst it reduces its off road capabilities it still has more than most owners will ever need. It’s reasonably comfortable on road, though some pot holes can be felt through the cabin but it’s quite agile and as far as modern LRs go it’s got the most character.

Problems so far have been, heat shield fouling the drive shaft and currently it’s waiting to go in to fix its 2wd warning issue and apparently it needs new front seat runners, according to topix at least.

Overall I’m pleased with it and definitely worth the long wait and delays along the way. It’s not perfect but wouldn’t be a Land Rover if it was. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

First proper road trip, Fife to Inverness then up to Tongue and back to Inverness via the west coast.

It was an absolute joy to drive, and got a few waves from older Defender owners. The motor homes were a bit of a pain.

Next year I’m tempted to take the plunge, and purchase an older Defender to sit along side this one. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Proper Land Rover country, NC500 overcrowding spoils it a bit though Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

It is stunning, I didn’t do the full route as it’s the west coast that has the stunning backdrop. As Tim says it’s a victim of its own success. Best doing it out of season, it was relatively quiet over the weekend in comparison to the high season but still littered with motor homes. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

90 is gone, currently have a F-Pace 2.0d.

Thankfully only for a week, possibly less. Not sure how I lived with the Velar for 3 years. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

It’s back and here to stay, had an extended stay at the dealers. It was close though, just about an oily rag and a match job Laughing

Running around in the dealers loan car made the heart grow fonder. I’m glad it’s back. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue
