Yes, I’ve had it for over a week thanks to my dealer, it works well.

Thanks for that! Very useful. Not something I was aware of but certainly hoped for due to the nature of having to plug the phone in every time I get into the vehicle. Hopefully won’t be too long before it is rolled out.

My car downloaded and installed 3.0.0 the day before yesterday, and Wireless CarPlay works well. Lots of misc minor improvements everywhere too. 22MY Defender 110 P400e SE w/ Off-Road Pack, Driver Assist Pack, Cold Climate Pack, Comfort & Convenience Pack + ClearSight Rear-View Mirror & 11.4" Infotainment Screen

Yes, finally got mine through also. Cheers for the heads up!
So far seems to be working well. Hopefully no forthcoming gremlins !
Carplay connects well automatically. Makes a difference not having to plug in each and every time.

mine did it a few days ago, much better. Especially when you have somebody in the jump seat and the cable near their feet 2015 90SW Heritage MY16, 2016 90SW XS MY16 (123rd b4 the last build) & RRS HSE MY15

Has anyone got android auto to work wirelessly? I have the 3.0 update, phone is Android 11. Done the unpair and reconnect, changed the settings. turned it on and off etc but it doesn't connect for wireless android auto. Fine with the cable but thats what the update was meant to do away with.

Perhaps I'm the serious minority here, but I have zero desire for either of these programs in my Defender (or any other vehicle for that matter). I selected "Disagree" but its still trying to force the spyware into the vehicle.

Seeing as its bound and determined to install itself is there a way to NOT have it show itself or bother with trying to get me to use it?

Best thing they’ve done, should’ve been standard from the beginning. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

It hasn’t landed at my now obsolete D240 First Edition yet and I really don’t need it. Had the LR Nav from ICTP been carried over then I could see the value of it as apps like Waze were streets ahead of LR’s Nav but I’ve found the PiviPro Nav with live traffic updates is streets ahead and beats my neighbour’s Hyundai Nav and Infotainment in their Ioniiq5 hands down. Also in the Pivi Nav the database must be massive as I’ve found that virtually every green lane and forest track I’ve driven comes up on the screen and the route calculation will use them if you want. The only thing I wish JLR would allow access to is the OS app to bring online OS mapping onto at least one of the screens. Waze is pretty hopeless off-road!
Even the wired version I think I’ve used only a couple of times in the 17.5months I’ve owned the car, I rarely charge the phone in the car too but have had a few passengers using the various USB’s for that. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

I’ve always used LRs sat nav, and still do. I don’t always use CarPlay but the options there. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

I thought mine was going to give me 3.0 this morning. It tuned out to be OS 2.1.6a dropping into place. Agree I could make use of the os online map. I did have to resort to google maps via android auto due to a missing country i was travelling through, namely Luxembourg wasn't on my data base at all, just a blank white space! 5 hour download for a new mapping system sorted that. It would also be good if JLR had Mirror Link software then other apps on the phone would be available. This was on a 2018 Seat Ibiza. 2020 Defender 110 SE 240D: Fuji White.
