Hi all,
I finally bought me dream car and I'm already working on it like crazy. As written in the tittle, it's a TD4 2.4L from 2012 used by the army until 2020. It currently has only 58.000 kms, which is why I decided to go for it. Of course it is a really raw model without luxury but I'm slowly adding some! I already have tons of questions, but first few pictures from his first days home to illustrate this bad boy. First inspections, figuring out all the things to repair/replace. Giving him some noise insulation with Dynamite and Noico noise pads on the floor, walls and doors. Then adding a 4mm layer of cork everywhere for another noise/thermal insulation. And finally a nice house made carpet and wood effect PVC for the charging platform. *Oups I may have fail adding the pictures, any help is much appreciated! In the mean time here is the access to my google Drive. I will continue to populate it! https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Ia...sp=sharing * Since then I have been adding some other things. - A Nugget stuff sealed air box and air filter. - A Safary snorkel - A Cyclone prefilter on the top of the snorkel - A new turbo intercooler in prevision of a remap - Started the house made wooden (MTF black painted) layout - Focal ES100K speakers (which are not linked just yet) - A Webasto Chinese copy of a diesel heater through the passenger floor. - A DOMETIC Coolfreeze CDF 36 (absolutely necessary to keep the beers cold!) I will take and upload more pictures of these, but you know how it is when you have the head in, working hard. And I'm still installing: - House made seat box corner protection for the front and the back. (I may share the design and/or create a grouped order if some of you are interested) - House made carpet holder for all the door sill (I may share the design and/or create a grouped order if some of you are interested) - House made embedded computer + sound system based on Open Auto project. This will include on a custom 2 din screen: ->CarPlay ->An Amp for the Focal sound system ->All OBD information and live car diagnostic ->Reverse camera ->External temperatures ->Batteries live monitoring -Retrofit of the electrical windows and central locking system -A full Renogy power system with an additional battery, 220V inverser and MPPT + solar charger Happy to share more information on anything above that might catch your interest! Thanks for your feedback!
I tried to follow your steps but after a successful upload nothing is showing up. I tried to press the refresh arrow without success.. I also tried different browsers (Safari, Chrome, Mozilla) but it's not helping. Maybe I don't have the rights yet for this? |
