Powder coating is not the best for steel, no even corroded and sandblasted (?) steel. Better look for some good paint. "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "Blufínek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo

Thanks.
Crikey, I had always thought that powder coating worked well on steel. Regardless of finish, are these bits easy to remove for treating? The springs give me cause for concern! |

I’ve removed these (and had them powder coated) - once you’ve undone the nut, the assembly slides off the bar, however it’s a very tight interference fit and in my case, took a fair amount of levering until it started to come free, so you need to take care else you may start deforming the bracket. Once it’s off, further disassembly is pretty straight forward, I don’t recall the spring causing any particular problem.
