Has anyone ever looked into what sort of communication link is used between the BBUS and the 10AS unit?
The BBUS only has four cables which from a quick look at the schematic are permanent live, ignition switched live, earth and one which is triggered by the 10AS unit. The one which triggers the BBUS appears (at least from the wiring diagram) to also pull the sounder relay to ground so looks like just a basic input/output. I don't have a BBUS myself to confirm but it could be quite simple to integrate an aftermarket unit. I don't recall there being any diagnostic or coding available via Nanocom. The only thing I cant quite get my head around is how the BBUS knows if the alarm is in the armed/disarmed state though. Maybe this doesn't matter and it wants to see the ignition positive to avoid it sounding when it is disconnected from the battery? Steve 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread |

Simple delay time is enabled then you switch ignition positive too it and remover this supply the sounder and providing remote battery power is removed with set time unit is disarmed and only re-enable with reinstatement remote battery power and all controlled by on board chip |

Good idea to find good replacement BBUS that can be made to inter face with AS10 alarm unit with same 4 pin socket used on the LR battery back sounder i.e. plug and play as JLR no longer stock the sounder unit
