The article says:

"The British firm, which is owned by Tata Motors, sold 92,700 cars in the second financial quarter of 2021, compared with 114,000 in the same period last year. That was reflected in reduced revenues of £3.9 billion."

so 21,300 cars = £3.9 billion which gives ~£183K per car - what am I missing?

Revenue was not reduced by £3.9 billion, it was £3.9 billion. Also, 92,700 is a retail sales number. JLR revenue is taken against wholesale numbers ~ 64,032 for Q2.

So your sum should be £3.9 billion divided by 64,032 = £60,907.
