Only thing I can think of if the tyre is marked with the 'Outside' mark, and it is fitted the wrong way round. No idea on the legality of that though. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

If only that were true!

I had a set of used BFG ATs in the 90s that had RWL but had been kerbed quite a bit, to the point that the worst was just a bad white wall tyre Rolling Eyes

I obviously fitted them with the white bits inside, both for taste and to hide the cosmetic damage.

White writing out ought to be illegal. As it is, I'll settle for style crime 😁

Mine is out, I wish they had options of with or without though for everyone…

Never had the slightest issue with the lettering, only light cleaning with alloy wheel brush every once and a while with an ordinary wash.
I wouldn’t trust any tyre pens or anything though.

In future if I get KM3’s one day, then without would be fine by me too.
I do like out though but wouldn’t turn away not having it, brand and type matters most to me. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

The chap who sold me Reggie told me that white lettering on tyres was the epitome of class and sophistication 🧐

Why would you manufacture tyres that would be subject to legality issues 🤔
