My last set were all black but we’re all terrain 2s. I’m now on 3s with the writing inside.

Did these other people offer any information, or had been in trouble themselves? I can’t think of any reason why it would be illegal and have never heard of anyone getting in bother over it. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I had a set of BFG's 265/75/16 ko2's with black lettering both sides, never on the AT
 Clayton.

I think they're having a laugh. Personally, I think its a good idea to make white writing outside illegal
As for black writing both sides on BFG again I've never heard of this. You either like it or fit them legally and hide it on inside. James

I think BFG do them with and without, it’s a personal preference and as far as I’m aware has no legal impact either way. Ride like you stole it!! If I’m not on a bike it’s because only a 4x4 will do… 2011 2.4 Puma 90 HT |

Yes, yes - you're quite right, when I actually read the posts rather than the snippet on the google search results it would appear that the posts I've seen are all tongue in cheek. So - still going to get 265/75s, would still prefer all black lettering, but if they do come with white on one side - I'm having them pointing out. Hang fashion and good taste - I'm a child of the 90s when Jurassic Jeeps and NAS 90s were all the rage. Can't seem to find them in that size with black letter options, but I'll keep looking. Having never had tyres with white lettering (other than say a Yamaha RXS in the mid 80's which I took a tyre pen to), how does the white lettering stand up to wear and tear?
Well done Gasket. I admire someone who stands up and admits their error. Very funny though. It would have made an ideal April fools day prank. April fools pranks seem to be so lame these days...... the Spaghetti harvest in Italy is how it should be done |
