What you're describing is a software issue. You just need to update the software on the wireless device that you have. The GoPlayAuto device that I use for wireless CarPlay has been great. I was having the same issues that you described until I contacted the manufacturer and they told me to update the software. Since then, it has been working fine and I can't tell any difference from the wired connection. Ray

Thanks. I’ll give the update a shot. Doubt that will improve the audio quality, but I’ll see if it helps.

The Velar has just been updated for 2021 and will receive a SOTA update to support wireless CarPlay, I assume the update will filter through the LR range.
From LR media site. “Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ is intended to be released as part of a wireless software update on all Range Rover Velar models expected later this year, at which point the features will also be available via a SOTA update for all Pivi and Pivi Pro equipped Range Rover Velar models.” 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue |

Received wirless CarPlay as part of an update done at the dealers.
If you have it you should have “wirless” listed in the connectivity menu, make sure this is on. With the phone unplugged I pressed the voice command (long press), then went into Bluetooth settings on my phone and reconnected the phone. It then came up on the pivi screen, can’t remember the wording but press yes. This was Apples instructions. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue |

If you have wireless CP enabled, does it disable the wired CP?
I’m just thinking ahead, because I have put in a hardwired holder that charges my phone. I’d like to keep using it. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV 1966 S2a 109 aka Betsy |

No idea, only played with it for a couple minutes before starting work. I imagine it won’t make any difference. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue |

The presentation looked slick and can see this being the "OS" fir an Apple Car (if it happens), but I doubt the hardware is there for it to be backward compatible with existing vehicles. https://instagram.com/bentheoandrews
