Just a thought as the motors are quite expensive.

Have you checked the motor has actually stopped working? I thought I had a problem with one of mine but it was the metal headlight bezel had corroded and the motor had pushed through it.

It's completely missing Laughing Laughing only noticed when I replaced the rusting headlamp bezel.

Are you sure that your Defender is supposed to have them? The vehicle in your profile (as a 90 hardtop) would have been considered a "commercial" variant, I believe, and would not have had them fitted.
