Nothing needs to be bled, the oil is engine oil. A new pump should immediately have solved your problem, something is not right and needs to be investigated. Was it a good quality pump or something unspeakable like Britpart?
I suspect that either there is a vacuum leak or the new pump is defective. |

It was a genuine Ford water pump and vacuum pump I replaced them at the same time.
Trying to think what else it could be. I’m guessing something related to vacuum as the brakes work fine otherwise. |

Check the vacuum pipe from pump to servo and the rubber seal/bung on the servo. My pipe developed a leak leaving me with non servo assisted/solid pedal brakes > 110 XS Double Cab

How tight is it supposed to sit into the vacuum
Pump? I’ve got no oil leaks around the vac pump, but the round bit of the brass fitting that’s sits over the vac pipe moves around a lot inside the fitting Seems fine the servo end. Click image to enlarge |

If possible can a few people go to there engine bays and give that black hose and brass fitting a wiggle and a pull to see if there’s move or wether it’s solid.
I’ve got a feeling that this may be where my issue is. Mine although doesn’t leak does pullin and out a fair few mm |
