I was very fortunate to drop on a cheap NOS 4.6 RV8 for my 127 project.
![]() Click image to enlarge The engine is bog standard so whilst everything is nice and new I have the following planned: - Heads removed to be sent for porting and polishing - Piper 270 cam - Tornado tuned GEMS EFI - Bosch Injectors I can't help but think I might be missing a trick by not going straight for big valve heads? Perhaps they would be overkill on engine where torque and (relative) economy are the main concern? That said I'm also keen not to go down the route of chasing very expensive ponies as the LS route is probably better value if I wanted silly power. I would be grateful for any experience / thoughts on the matter (Greeni, Mike ![]() Series 2 109" Series 1 80" Last edited by Shroppy on 19th Oct 2021 7:07pm. Edited 2 times in total |

Do you recall what spec Roland built it to? Think he offers both stage 1 (ported) and 2.1 (big valves) on the turnkeys? What cam have you got? Could I have the build sheet please?
![]() Either way that's where I'm dropping my heads off, he's also going to recondition a GEMS front cover for me as the 4.6 was set up to run 14CUX. Yes please! ![]() Series 2 109" Series 1 80" |
