Heated seats
Heated seat in land defender 2014 won't heat. Tried swapping over, but still no go. Even though there is power coming through cables

Have you tried with a multimeter on Resistance setting and see if you can read any resistance on the seat side connector? If the meter reads infinity ohms, then there is a broken wire on the seat itself. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

I assumed you swapped driver with passenger. Are you sure there is power supply? You check voltage? 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

Just the base you swapped ?? There’s a thermal cutout in the back part of the seat that the wires break on… then no heated seats lumbar or base. Theres a simple guide on repair on here somewhere. His base might have a burnt out element as well hence it didn’t work in yours

Check for voltage drop at the fuse before and after connecting, if there is a big voltage drop then there is likely a poor common ground.
Hence voltage present with no load, but with load significant voltage drop.

Check the ground resistance too, it should be as close to zero Ohm as possible and usually with most multimeters bleep too.
If not or a high reading then poor ground.
Turn off power though when doing this step though.
Also check fuse is secure, and obviously no blown.

As mentioned already you can check the resistance of the elements too, but as you’ve swapped seats I’d say the ground maybe most likely culprit. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R
