its a personal choice and also depends how the mileage has been reached. 20k on a building sites or a farm may be worse that 60k mainly motorway miles.

Agreed on how the mileage is achieved, we ran a fleet offshore in Jersey, 18 months in low sea water very low recorded mileage they were rotten Ride like you stole it!!

Thanks for all the replys
The hardtop i was looking at has now sold shamefully. So may well be getting the pickup and converting. Who knows of anyone that has some rear hardtop panel's and/or roof etc for sale? Maybe someone on here? Cheers |

Been to look at the pickup today
And also looking at side panels extra to convert to hardtop. I have found some side panels and roof from a V plate defender(1999) would this fit onto a 2014 plate...im guessing it will? MT |

Pumas, and Td5s has pressings on the flat part of the roof. They help reduce vibrations. Since these parts are easy to swap from one vehicle to another, then better go by their ‘design’ than YOM of the vehicle.
Early 90s had external ribs on the roof, and side panels with substantial amount of pop rivets. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing 2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black |

Yes indeed. They all have the same size and bolt spacing to the tub.
Rear door design changed around 2002. Easy to see difference by all rounded corners on the glass for newer steel door. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing 2012 90 CSW, 2.2TDCI, Santorini Black |
