Shock Absorber Issues?
Guys, I got my local garage to replace my rear shocks during an MOT, and whilst doing some work myself have just noticed this. Shouldn’t the washer be flush? Help!

I do not see anything wrong....

The outer washer, RYF500220 (and so do the inner washer) have a convex face. The convex face should face the shock absorber, but that is to give the shock a bit more movement, especially during axle articulation.

So in short - the washer should not touch the eye of the shock absorber, but should keep the steel bushing fixed (some shocks do not have steel bushing). 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing
