Brakes....

Hello.. Alan failed the MOT on brakes. the mechanic cleaned all the discs up and we scraped a pass but I need to replace all the discs, pads, hand brake shoes (and oil seal) and rear axle oil seal.
I am in the process of ordering the parts and as my 90 is an early 93 tdi it originally had drum brakes on the back... so the question is .. would discs and pads for a 300tdi be suitable? Also which seals would need replacing, is it the stub axle seal and the transfer box seal?
I have looked at lots of pictures and part numbers on LRO workshop and its just making my head hurt
