Dilemma should I?
In a total quandary, last week I specced a p400e X dynamic HSE, was quite prepared for a long wait. Dealer has just me know he has p400e xs physically on site now but can't be released till he has another 110 in stock. It's not the colour I would have chosen (black) or my chosen spec, however looking at jlr retro fits I could have adaptive cruise and tow pack activated for 500. This one has Digi dash and 2 keys. Do I go for it knowing it is here and wait patiently for either someone to cancel an order that would release this one to me. I'm leaning towards doing this so long as I can get acc activated.

If it’s here, in budget and a spec you can live with, go for it. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Going to go for the xs edition, leave my order for the x dynamic in place when it does eventually appear I should hopefully have no issues punting the xs, don't do alot of miles hence going for the phev.

Got a look at my car today, just going to be frustrating driving past the showroom seeing it sitting there and not knowing when I will eventually get behind the wheel, standard xs spec with large screen and electric towbar. At least I know it is at the dealers. No pics as forgot my phone, sure I will be in again soon.

Think I've seen it on Autotrader. £89995......ouch. That's 23k more than I'm paying for a P400 XS with a few choice extras included. No wonder it's still unslotted

Just make sure that they aren’t racking up miles on it as their demo……….. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

No that's not my one, I'm not that keen that I would pay so much over list. Mine can't be registered till they get another into stock, has to sit as a display, unregistered. There is a black v8 90 and a disco 5 in exactly the same position, waiting for free new stock to let them away.

In at dealership this morning to finalise the finance. All fairly straightforward but I also had to sign an agreement prohibiting me from exporting or selling the car within 6 months of registration. They are calling it an Initial Disclosure Document and it is also referred to on the vehicle order form. Did question it but apparently has to be done and sales guy said it was to try and prevent newish vehicles getting out of the dealer network and folk making a quick buck on hard to get vehicles.

How odd that they don’t want you to sell it at a profit within 6 months yet they a more than happy to do just that on pre-reg cars on their forecourt - what’s good for the goose etc etc…. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

I have a D250 110 XS and an Ineos Grenadier on order. Which ever arrives first will be put up for sale to pay a large chunk off of the other one.

Sounded like this is a very recently introduced requirement. Sales guy did say that some dealers have been getting pulled up for this practice of pre registering and putting them out on the forecourt for vastly inflated prices. The only phev defender on land rover used is an ex demo and its on at £94k, have to be an absolute muppet or more money than sense to pay that.

The agreement I was asked to sign was for 1 year. Seems like it's worldwide.

Be curious if they apply it to vehicles purchased outright. However I have no issues with signing it.
